Tool monitoring and process optimization through digitalization is now also possible when using driven tools. With the new heimatec.Sensoric sensor system, various tool parameters such as speed, temperature and/or humidity can be recorded and transmitted to a control point. In the heimatec INNOVATION AREA in Hall 5, Stand D34, the tools may be examined and tested for handling.
Whether static or driven - tools have always been exclusively mechanical components, even in the most modern turning and machining centres. However, the trend towards digitization is inevitable in this area as well, and with the heimatec.Sensoric sensor system, digital tool management is now becoming reality.
With the sensor technology, which has been integrated into the driven heimatec tool unit, various tool parameters such as operating time, speed, temperature and/or humidity can be recorded. After a defined time interval, the determined data is transmitted to the control point via BLE technology (Bluetooth Low Energy) and can then be used for evaluation and maintenance activities.
By using monitoring software, tools equipped with the heimatec.Sensoric sensor system can be monitored and maintenance cycles managed. Within the framework of tool management, for example, it is checked when the next service visit is necessary and which measures have to be taken.
