Rotate spindle to align tool with tool path direction

Hi,
I am using a 5 axis milling machine (table-table kinematic) with a SINUMERIK 840D sl.
I am thinking about building a special tool that is mounted in the spindle.
This tool will have a cylindrical shape and it will feature a little sensor which will be embedded in the cylindrical face.
When the tool follows a tool path it must always be rotated in a way so that the sensor is "looking" in the movement direction (relative to the tool path).
Please have a look at the attached sketch.
Is there an easy to use command that allows me to do that (dynamically rotate the spindle so it "matches" the tool path direction)?
Or would this be considered a 6 axis transformation which would require complicated machine configurations?
