i can read german but i can not write!
so all this is on english,
i have 2 problems whit my dmu 80p, and 2 questions
1) the machine have 4 axis and H/V head (0-90'),
if in vertical position the coordinates of the zero point sistem are:
x0,y0,z0...
can they be calculated when the head swing in horizontal. whit out using the
tuch probe, whit different tool length?
2) how can i connect the machine on lan?
she do not have a ip number, she is running under dos!
which program i shell use.

1) The Controll calculate the new zero point automatically, if you typing G18 M53 to swing horizontal. If the zeropoint after the swing to horizontal incorrect. Then you must modify the swing offsets in the Machine Setup.

I can only tell you the way used on version 4.xx
When booting the MillPlus, there is a text like "Heidenhain Service ...". When this text pops up, press "s".
After a few seconds you'll see a textual overview of what can be done. There's one point meaning "Editing TCP/IP" (or something like that). In that file, you have to set the IP-address of your machine. This address has to fit to your network. Before editing save the orifinal file with a different name.
After saving the file press E or Q to end the configuration environment and start the MillPlus.
One more hint: MillPlus is only able to read/write NFS!!! Therefore you'll need some software. Or you a linux-server...

ok i know! but i dint have a ip configuration, after pressing s,
i have dnet config, but there are no ip number. and i realy dont know what is
that "dnet", know someone how its work? i think it is a older protocol, something what use novell network adapters.

swing head in vertical to horizontal whit "G18 M53" dont work, the zero points are not the same!
