Von der Universalmaschine zum hoch automatisierten Fertigungssystem
Wenn vom 18. – 22.09. die AMB in Stuttgart zum 19. Mal ihre Tore öffnet, werden auch die GROB-WERKE erneut als Aussteller vertreten sein. Der GROB-Messestand, mit seinen fast 500 m², befindet sich dieses Mal in der neugebauten Halle 10 (Paul Horn Halle), Stand B11. Neben vier Universalmaschinen zeigt GROB eindrucksvolle Automatisierungslösungen und stellt die Weiterentwicklungen der Softwaretechnologie GROB-NET4Industry vor.
Mindelheim/Stuttgart. Bereits zum sechsten Mal präsentiert sich GROB auf der AMB in Stuttgart. So fand im Jahr 2008 für GROB die Premiere auf dieser wichtigen internationalen Ausstellung für Metallbearbeitung statt. Damals zeigten die GROB-WERKE eine 5-Achs-Universalmaschine G350 der ersten Generation. Zwei Jahre später konnte der „große Bruder“, die nächste Baustufe der 5-Achs-Universalmaschinen, präsentiert werden – die G550. Zur AMB 2016 startete ein neues Zeitalter. Die zweite Generation der G350 wurde erfolgreich vorgeführt. Heute bietet GROB mit der G350, G550, G750 und G1050 eine komplette Baureihe an. Die Maschinen G350, G550 und G750 sind auch als Fräs-Dreh-Variante und mit Automatisierung verfügbar.
Trend zur Automatisierung
Dieses Jahr stellt GROB auf der AMB in Stuttgart 5-Achs-Universal-Bearbeitungszentren und eine doppelspindlige Maschine der G-Baureihe vor. Neben diesen Maschinentypen fokussiert sich der Maschinenbauer auch auf das Thema Automatisierung. Eine 5-Achs-Universalmaschine wird beispielsweise durch ein Paletten-Rundspeichersystem PSS-R und ein Werkzeugzusatzmagazin TM200 zu einer flexiblen Fertigungszelle erweitert und bietet somit einen optimalen Einstieg in die automatisierte und hocheffiziente Fertigung. Damit offeriert GROB nicht nur eine Universalmaschine in der zweiten Entwicklungsstufe, die leicht zu bedienen ist, sondern geht konsequent den Schritt in Richtung kompletter Automationslösungen.

Hightech in kompakter Form
Technik pur auf kleinstem Raum. Die zweite Generation der GROB-Universalmaschinen zeichnet sich durch ein modernes, überarbeitetes Maschinendesign und etliche neue Baugruppen aus, was den GROB-Kunden zahlreiche Vorteile bietet. Die G350 – Generation 2 überzeugt durch ihre deutlich verbesserte Dynamik, reduzierte Neben- und Span-zu-Span-Zeiten, vergrößerte Werkzeugmagazin-Kapazität sowie ihr überarbeitetes Maschinendesign. Dank des innovativen Doppelscheiben-Magazins konnte die Werkzeuglänge um 33 Prozent, von 365 auf 550 mm erhöht und die Maschinen- Außenabmessung durch eine kompaktere Bauweise deutlich reduziert werden.
Mit ihrem einzigartigen Maschinenkonzept bieten die 5-Achs-Universal-Bearbeitungszentren allen Kunden der zerspanenden Industrie nahezu unbegrenzte Möglichkeiten bei der Fräsbearbeitung von Werkstücken verschiedenster Materialien. Gerüstet für die Zukunft – Industrie 4.0
Industrie 4.0 nimmt in der heutigen Zeit einen großen Stellenwert ein und wird auch auf der AMB thematisiert. Die Softwaretechnologie GROB-NET4Industry schafft mittels Webtechnologie werksübergreifend Transparenz im gesamten Produktionsprozess. Die von GROB modular entwickelten Applikationen innerhalb GROB-NET4Industry dienen zur Vernetzung und Digitalisierung von Produktionsprozessen und ermöglichen dadurch nicht nur eine papierlose Kommunikation, sondern noch mehr Produktivität und Verfügbarkeit. Durch den Einsatz von GROB-NET4Industry und der damit verbundenen Maschinenvernetzung, kann eine Produktivitätssteigerung von bis zu 30 Prozent erzielt werden.
From the universal machining center through to the highly-automated manufacturing line
When the AMB opens its doors from 18 to 22 September in Stuttgart for the nineteenth time, GROB-WERKE will once again be among the exhibitors. This time, GROB's stand, covering almost 500 m², is located in the newly constructed Hall 10 (Paul Horn Hall), Stand B11. In addition to four universal machining centers, GROB will also be showcasing impressive automation solutions and presenting the advanced developments of its GROB-NET4Industry software technology.
Mindelheim/Stuttgart. For the sixth time already, GROB will present itself at the AMB in Stuttgart. 2008 saw GROB's premiere at this important international exhibition for the metalworking sector. That year GROB-WERKE presented the G350, a first generation 5-axis universal machining center. Two years later the company showcased the G550 – the "big brother" and next development stage of the 5-axis universal machining centers. The AMB 2016 marked the beginning of a new era. During this fair, the second generation of the G350 was successfully showcased. Today, GROB offers an entire series with the G350, G550, G750 and G1050. The G350, G550 and G750 machines are also available as milling and turning version and with automation system.
Trend towards automation
This year, GROB will present 5-axis universal machining centers and a two-spindle, G-series machine at the AMB in Stuttgart. Besides these machine types, the mechanical engineering company is also focusing on the field of automation. A 5-axis universal machining center is for example being expanded by a rotary pallet storage system (PSS-R) and an additional tool magazine TM200, to form a flexible manufacturing cell that offers optimum entry to automated, highly efficient production. GROB, then, is not only offering a second development stage universal machining center that is easy to use, the company is also taking the logical step towards complete automation solutions.

High-tech in compact format
Pure technology in the smallest space. The second generation of the GROB universal machining centers is characterized by a modern, revamped machine design and several new components. The result is an entire range of benefits for GROB customers. The second G350 generation boasts significantly improved dynamics, reduced idle and chip-to-chip times, increased tool magazine capacity as well as its revamped machine design. Thanks to the innovative double disk-type tool magazine, the tool length has been increased by 33 percent from 365 to 550 mm and the machine's external dimensions has been significantly reduced due to a more compact design.
With its unique machine concept, the 5-axis universal machining centers offer all customers in the machining sector almost limitless possibilities for milling parts made of the most diverse materials. More important now than ever before, Industry 4.0 is set to be a focal point at the AMB. The GROB-NET4Industry software technology uses web technology to create cross-plant transparency throughout the production process. The applications within GROB-Net4Industry modularly developed by GROB, network and digitalize production processes to facilitate paperless communication – for even greater productivity and availability. By using GROB-NET4Industry and the associated machine network, a productivity increase of up to 30 percent can be achieved.
