The intelligent 3D sensors automatically detect the size, the position and any movement of obstacles behind the vehicle and evaluate them in relation of the reach stacker's own movement. Detected objects are highlighted in colours on the display. Warning symbols are also possible.
The driver of the vehicle is only actively warned in case of obstacles which are directly in the path or on collision course. This is particularly important in cases where obstacles move into the path from the side. Parallel to the visual representation, signals are transmitted via CAN bus and can be used by the machine control system for acoustic signals or braking impulses.
